PUNE: The fourth Asian Business Summit (ABS) got under way at New Delhi on Tuesday. The Confederation of Indian Industry is the host for the two-day summit in which chief executives and heads of leading industry chambers representing 13 business organizations from 9 Asian economies have participated.
The countries include India, Japan, China, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Chinese Taipei. The Asian Business Summit was initiated four years ago in Japan.
Business leaders will discuss the major challenges for Asian economies in view of the emerging global economic realities in the summit. Anand Sharma, commerce and industry minister and Montek Singh Ahluwalia, deputy chairman, Planning Commission will address the participants during the summit.
