SRINAGAR: Army Chief General Bikram Singh on Tuesday met Jammu & Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah and discussed the overall security scenario of the state.
"We discussed the partial withdrawal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) from the state but cannot share the details with the media," Abdullah told reporters after the meeting with the army chief.
General Singh, who is on a two-day tour to the state, reviewed the security situation and also interacted with the troops deployed in the forward areas of Baramulla and Kupwara sectors through video conferencing, a defence spokesman said.
