Heart healthy recipe: Berry parfait
Desserts are not off limits if you are aiming to be heart healthy. You just need to choose wisely and carefully. Indulge in this berry parfait, which is full of antioxidants, fibre and hypocholestrolemic agents.
Ingredients:
1 bowl full of mixed berries
1 medium pack of flavoured yoghurt
1/4 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp low fat cream
Method:
1. In a bowl, add the flavoured yoghurt, vanilla essence and cream and stir it well.
2. In a tall glass or a dessert bowl, place alternate layers of berries and the yoghurt mixture.
3. Refrigerate for an hour and serve.
