How to cope up with unemployment
How to cope up with unemployment

If you've lost your job or have been unemployed for a long time, naturally, it's not a very pleasant situation to be in, especially if your attempts in finding a suitable job are not bearing fruit.
Coping with the frustration and depression of being unemployed can be tough. We share a few tips on how you can deal with this delicate situation.

Don't waste time
The most common thing people do during their unemployment phase is to waste time doing nothing or things that aren't productive! Instead of being idle and feeling sorry for yourself, use this precious time in searching for another job. You can also use this time to either study further or take up a course, which may add to your existing qualifications.

Widen your network
Your chances of finding a job are significantly low, if you just sit at home and send out emails. Instead, call and meet people related to your professional field, so that they can help you with contacts or offer you some sound career advice. Just spread the world through friends and family members that you are looking for a job and you might just hit jackpot.

Volunteer or intern
This is another way to spend all you free time while you look for your desired job. Volunteering or interning is a great way to gain experience and improve your resume. And if you get paid, it will also help you manage your day to day finances.

Maintaining the right attitude
A time like this can be extremely frustrating and pressuring mentally. Don't think that you aren't getting a job because you lack talent or aren't good enough. You need to have a positive attitude and not lose focus. Most importantly, you mustn't' give up. Optimism will surely help you in the long run
