Nippon Paint launches product that cleanses air by absorbing formaldehyde

CHENNAI: Nippon Paint India has launched 'Odour-LessAirCare', a product that uses active carbon technology to cleanse air by absorbing formaldehyde, an indoor air pollutant.

The product uses 'active carbon technology' which has the ability to continuously absorb harmful formaldehyde from the air and convert it to water vapour while simultaneously strengthening the paint film, leaving indoor air cleaner, a statement from the company said.

Formaldehyde, a very common indoor air pollutant, can be found in virtually all homes and buildings. It is emitted into the air from sources such furniture, carpeting, flooring, cabinets and wallpaper, and is known to cause allergies and respiratory problems.
